Anyone see what 2000S sold for on E-Bay?

Is there something special about this one that I'm missing?  Or is this just good news for those of us that already own one?

I just got back into Sunn about a year ago. I haven't seen anything go cheap. Where do you guys find amps under $500 or Speaker Cabs under $400-600?  I have only found one 200S cab and it went for over $1000.

I paid about $ 750 for my 2000S  just about 16 months ago.

I Bought a 200S cabinet for $ 350 + shipping off E-Bay aout a year ago, but the cab. has some issues.  The baffles were butchered to fit in a pair of 15" Black widows that are "deeper/longer" then the D140F's (??)
A previous owner also made a new front panel (that the speakers mount to and did a poor job of cutting Port openings, so I may have to "redo" that panel also.  I have it apart now, finally getting started on the "recon. job.  By the time you figure in the
pair of JBL D140F's (about $ 280 for the pair), and a sheet of  Birch plywood for the front panel & baffles I'll be up over $ 800 counting the shipping I paid for the cab & the speakers.  Add in what the time to do the work is worth and $ 1000  for one that's in good shape and ready to go as is might not be all that unattractive a price if you want one of these cabs bad enough.  I don't know where anyone is finding these cabs in ready to rock condition for  $ 350 to $ 500.  I wish I did.

You should just pay Bill Lee (spliffPfunk) or Conrad to build you one for those prices. Of course if you could convince them to do it and they aren't too busy!

I got one of mine for $400. It's nearly mint. My other one I got for $100 plus shipping. It was misrepresented as a 2x12 cabinet.

Edited to add: the $100 cabinet didn't have JBLs in it, either.

first post here we go...
I picked up a 71'/72' 1200s for $300 about 4 years ago, my friend found it in a used book store. $300 got me the 1200, an acoustic 1x15, and a pa cab my friend took as a finders fee. traded the 1x15 for a sunn 2x15 as my best friend was moving and needed something smaller to take with him. got a 73' concert bass many years ago in store credit for trading in a bass i bought at goodwill for $35 they wanted $100 for it. got a beta bass combo with 1x12(???) for $190 last year, took the amp out as the speaker was too midrangy, just use it as a head now. got a 118V for $100, got a sl260 combo for $175, have a lead on an alpha 210 combo for $100 that I'm probebly gonna pick up when the owner gets home from tour.  most of my gear I get at Atomic music in Beltsville MD. DC area folks should know what I'm talking about, great selection, great service, amazing prices.

You have the Midas touch, you should go into business; or...are you already?
