Speaker Jack Plate

Hi there!
I have a mint Sunn 4x12 Sceptre cab. The only thing that is broken is the plastic Speaker Jack Plate.
Where can I find one of those?? Would a metallic plate from a Tele fit in there??

Any ideas, appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I got Fender style jack plates for my speaker cabs from a company called Parts-Is-Parts.  They come in pairs and last year I paid about $6 + shipping.

I bought the chrome and black. When i tried them on a 6x10 cab. Sunn used two cups. one on the inside and one on the outside. The problem i had was the wood is to thin. And the cups dont compress together and tight against the cab with the input jack shaft and nut,and there is a gap. So i used one and the little clip that comes with the cup. There is also a style that is mounted with three screws. I have seen them for about .79 cents. But they dont look original.

Yes, The two at the top is what i got. I just put  two together and the gap for wood is 3/4". So i used that rectangular piece and one cup. I didnt now i had three pieces like the bottom picture.  I dont now why they wouldnt work. Except the the ones i have in the bottom picture fits  a larger hole. This is the other one i mentioned that takes three screws.. I havnt tried one. But they look handy.http://www.reliablehardware.com/jackplates.aspx

 I've bought one of those 3 hole plates in the past but the cup is just a little bit too big to fit right. (let me know if anyone wants it)

I am in the same boat only with the Concert Monitor I posted in the Q&A. Are replacements available, looks square shaped about 4-5 inchs per side. Also wondered if it was single or double jack? Can't find an image of it

When I built my Sunn 230B clone cabs fro my Sentura II, I used the jack plates like in the lower picture.  They work great...except that when put together the 3/4" plywood is too thick.  In addition to drilling a hole for he outside plate, a larger hole drilled with a spade bit had to be drilled...but once the were in pllace with the 1/4" jack....they work fantastic.

I went to guitar center today and looked at every speaker cabinet today. Only one there looked as if it was made for a 1" diameter hole,made from plastic and has a lip like sunn. I think this might be worth having one in hand to get some measurements. The chrome metal fender type i have require a
 1 1/8" hole.

It does say for 3/4 inch panel thickness. That might be a problem.

Looks promising Aaron though the shipping is a little steep on those. I have cabs with the correct input jack plate and they are metal not plastic like some of the earlier ones. Since these are always so pron to cracking it would be nice to find the metal version. Also, I remember Conrad saying the plastic ones were originally door pulls/handles that they utilized for the jack plates. Maybe that's a lead worth perusing...

Great lead, made me think of closet and pocket doors . These seam to be readily available at a hardware store. Should be able to get them in plastic or metal.Just need to find one for 1" hole. http://www.thefind.com/hardware/info-flush-finger-pull

Switchcraft jack #L11 has slightly longer threads so it works a little better with the Fender type cups.
